The Devi Mahatmyam (Durga Saptashati) is the seven hundred verses recited through the nine nights of Navaratri. This course walks its three great battles reverently, and reads each demon, in the tradition's own allegorical key, as an inner enemy the reader knows. The Goddess is never diminished; the inner reading deepens the devotion, it does not replace it.
