Talapatram provides digital educational content and services. Due to the nature of digital goods and in accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, purchases are generally considered final once access to content has been granted.
Please note: When you complete a purchase, you gain immediate access to digital content. We encourage you to review our offerings carefully before subscribing.
Refund Eligibility
When We Can Help
We understand that issues can occur. Refunds may be considered in these specific situations:
- Unauthorized transactions — if your payment credentials were used without your consent (documentation may be required)
- Duplicate charges — if you were charged multiple times for the same transaction due to a technical error
- Payment issues — if an amount was debited but your subscription was not activated
Situations We Cannot Accommodate
As a digital content service, we are unable to offer refunds for:
- Change of mind after purchase
- Unused subscription time or forgetting to cancel before renewal
- Device compatibility or technical requirements on your end
- Content preferences or disagreement with updates
- Requests after subscription access has been activated
- Accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations
- Access issues related to your internet connection or location
- Renewal charges (you can cancel anytime to prevent future billing)
Good to know: We do not offer partial or pro-rated refunds. However, you will always retain access until your current billing period ends.
How to Request a Refund
If you believe your situation qualifies for a refund, here's how to proceed:
Submit Request
Email billing@talapatram.ai within 48 hours of the transaction
Provide Documentation
Include: registered email, transaction ID, payment screenshot, and supporting evidence (e.g., police report for fraud)
Investigation
We will investigate and verify your claim within 7 business days
Decision
We'll communicate our decision via email
Refund Processing (If Approved)
Processing Time
- Investigation: Up to 7 business days
- Decision notification: Within 3 business days after investigation
- Refund initiation: 5-7 business days after approval
- Credit to account: Guaranteed within 7 business days of refund initiation
Refund Method
Approved refunds are issued only to the original payment method:
- Credit/Debit Card: Credited back to the same card
- UPI: Refunded to the same UPI ID
- Net Banking: Credited to the same bank account
- Digital Wallets: Refunded to the same wallet
Please note: Any processing fees charged by payment providers may be deducted from the refund amount.
Cancellation Policy
How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges:
- Open the Talapatram app
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
What Happens After Cancellation
- You retain premium access until the end of your current billing period
- No further charges will be made after the current period
- Your account reverts to the free plan after the billing period ends
- Your learning progress and data are preserved
Please note: Cancelling your subscription will stop future charges, but does not include a refund for the current billing period. You'll continue to have access until the period ends.
Subscription Terms
For both monthly and annual plans:
- Once your subscription is active, the purchase is considered final
- Partial refunds for unused time are not available
- To avoid renewal charges, please cancel before your renewal date
- Credits toward future subscriptions are not offered
Renewal reminder: We'll notify you before automatic renewal so you have time to cancel if you choose not to continue.
Special Circumstances
Technical Issues
If you experience technical difficulties, we're here to help:
- Contact support@talapatram.ai and our team will assist you
- We'll work to resolve the issue and restore your access promptly
- In rare cases of extended service unavailability on our end (more than 7 consecutive days), we may extend your subscription period
Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe a fraudulent/unauthorized transaction was made:
- Report to us within 48 hours at billing@talapatram.ai
- File a police complaint and provide the complaint number/FIR copy
- Provide bank statement showing the unauthorized debit
- We will investigate and take action within 7 business days
Please note: We take fraud seriously. Submitting false claims may result in account termination and could be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Dispute Resolution
If you'd like to discuss a refund decision further:
- You can reach out to grievance@talapatram.ai within 7 days of our decision
- Please include your original request, our response, and your reason for escalation
- A senior representative will review your case within 15 business days
- The escalation decision will be final

Legal & Regulatory Compliance
This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including:
- Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
- Information Technology Act, 2000
Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
